A Season on the Edge by John Skinner is very well written and covers a whole season reconstructed from John’s detailed logs. The book begins in the early spring recounts the season in a series of detailed stories. Not a strictly how-to, it is filled with info and tactics that can be applied just about anywhere. His stories keep you glued to the pages and his writing style transforms you on location. You almost feel like you are standing next to him and casting. Although this is not a “how-to” book ,if you ever wanted to know what makes one of the best surfcasters on East Coast tick, how he makes decisions of where to go,what are his reasoning when taking in account baitfish ,current and winds you have to read this book. Great read ,entertaining, educating and inspiring.
