Mirroring the image of a dying baitfish such as shad, herring, bluegill, perch and more, the Jackall Counter Back Spoons were specifically designed to offer a unique action over the standard large vertical spoon. Through thorough research on the water, the team at Jackall determined that fish overwhelmingly preferred the descent of a backslide motion of the spoon over a flutter, prompting them to focus on a design that consistently backslides. Extensive prototyping along with input from BASS Elite Pro Kyoya Fujita achieved a spoon with backslides consistently by having an asymmetrical thickness and asymmetrical body shape, even with a slack line. Each spoon is rigged with a high quality swivel to mitigate line twist and work to keep fish pinned, while a razor sharp treble hook with tinsel offers great secondary action.
